Companion Services

Companion Services focus on providing individuals with companionship and assistance to engage in meaningful activities, both at home and in the community, with the goal of fostering social connections, emotional support, and overall well-being.

 

These services may include assistance with daily living activities, providing emotional support and encouragement, participating in hobbies and recreational activities, or simply offering a friendly presence and conversation.

 

Under ODP guidelines, Companion Services are essential for enhancing the quality of life, promoting independence, and preventing social isolation, helping individuals to lead fulfilling and connected lives.

  1. Providing companionship and conversation at home or in the community

  2. Assistance with personal care tasks (e.g., grooming, dressing)

  3. Support with light household tasks and meal preparation

  4. Participating in hobbies and recreational activities together

  5. Accompanying individuals to appointments and social events

  6. Providing emotional support and encouragement

  7. Assistance with medication reminders

  8. Engaging in cognitive stimulation activities (e.g., games, puzzles)

  9. Reading books, watching movies, or listening to music together

  10. Facilitating social interaction and community engagement
